Hong Kong Series| 2012 Halloween at The Happiest Place on Earth

One of the attractions that lured more tourists in visiting Hong Kong is Disneyland.  Since it opened in 2005, tourists in HK has doubled or even tripled.

It was our first time for any Disneyland theme park.  Based on the blogs, reviews and promotions I've read, this is one place that should not be missed when in HK so I have high expectations about this tour.

Again, our tickets were purchased on line.  Day pass tickets - HK$450.00 for adult and HK$320.00 for child.  Senior citizen's costs only HK$100.00.

and I lined up for 2 hours just for this picture
One day is just enough for us to tour the whole park since we are not fond of riding the attractions.  Apologies if this blog will not cover every ride.  Kami ng mga duwag sa mga rides!   To be honest, I had more fun in checking the souvenir shops.

So here goes the tour....

1.  Main Street - this is your passage to the main attractions.  Every 3PM, there is a parade being held here.  Please check the schedule http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com so you won't miss this and plan your tour well.  There are a lot of souvenir shops here, too.

there's Cinderella castle, where the fireworks display are at night

so ready for the Halloween

where the parade is being held.. notice the group in orange.., they are team atienza (hmm smells pork barrel)

2. Fantasyland - where the famous disney and princesses' stories are homed.  We only rode the carousel and dumbo since there are a lot peole on the line.

oh! i want this castle for myself

welcome to fantasyland!

dumbo ride

there's Mickey!

the carousel

It's a Small World is one of the attractions I enjoyed the most.  Yeah, parang bata lang ang peg.  It showcases every nation's language and national costumes.  The song "it's a small world" is being sung in different languages.  Of course, Philippines is my favorite.  It was fun being here.

my lunch for HK$69.00
And the Halloween theme goes on..

3. Tomorrowland - features Diney's futuristic stories from Lilo and Stitch to Buzz Light Year.  We only entered Lilo and Stitch attraction since my nephew is afraid of the Ghost Galaxy 4D movie.  He's not even interested in space shuttle ride.. nay!

ooops... I can't push Saturn while Franz can carry it

the 4D movie

and we are really tired already
After Tomorrowland, we went to Main Street for the parade (another post).

4. Photo Ops and Train ride

After the parade, we went straight to Mickey Mouse photo ops.  Due to the long line, we were not able to watch any musical show.

from head to foot, they are really Mickey fans

5. Toy Story Land

Remember Woody, Jesse and Buzz? All of the characters in the movie trilogy are here in huge scale. We didn't try any ride here, not even a photo with Woody as we are really tired already at this point.  The area is still undergoing development yet as it is still a grassy area.  This is the newest attraction then.

6. Adventureland - the home of Tarzan and Lion King.  We only had photo ops here as we are no longer interested in any ride.  You can ride a boat here to see the forest.

the cruise ship

7. Grizzly Gruch - mining station.  You can see here the Old Wild West.

Then it was time for us to say goodbye as my body is too soar from too much bumping with the locals.  I really don't understand why they are always in a hurry for anything.  It seems there's a relief distribution.  We were not able to wait for the fireworks display as we do not want to be trapped with the rush hour of going back to TST.

cool custome

the Adams family.. no more energy left to line up for this

the castle at night

even Donald Duck is grumpy already

thanks for the fun memories

tiredness shows but there's a smile left on my nephew's face.. so it's all worth it
We are really soooo tired after this trip.  Maybe that's why there's a 2 day ticket pass so you will have enough energy to enjoy the whole park.

Now, I need to starting saving for a trip here with my kids.  They will surely love this place!  While they are touring around I will make sure that I will watch their musical attractions.
