SG Day 3: Sky Flyer and Helix Bridge

the tube with dining set-up.. it's huge
After a quick freshen up, we went back to Marina Bay area for the Sky flyer experience.  Our combined tour package (Sky Flyer, Gardens by the Bay and River Cruise) costs only S$55.00, discounted of around S$10.00.  We opted to do it at night to see SG's panoramic view of this area and we were not disappointed.  It's a beautiful night scene.

from afar

lots of shops to explore, too

The tube is so huge that it can carry 12 persons or more (but being limited to 12).  You can even reserve a tube for a dinner set-up.  We learned that there are some engagement proposals being held here since the view at night is quite romantic.

SG: Day 3 - Legoland Malaysia

warning... pictures heavy post...

Day 3 - August 26, 2014

This attraction is not included in our original SG itinerary.  However, upon learning that we will just spend around Php3K per person for the tour package (excluding food), we realized that we must take this great opportunity.

I was here..
Kevin, our assigned driver, picked us up at exactly 8:00AM.  We learned that he came from Malaysia and went to SG just to pick us up.  He will again drive us back to Malaysia and return to SG after the tour.  So, in one day, he drove the same route twice.  He is a very jolly person and loves Philippines so much so he was excited that we are his guests for the day.  He has so much good stories about our beloved country.

Since it's still early and we haven't eaten breakfast yet, we requested him to go to a nearest McDo drive-thru.  It is there that A has learned that she didn't have her passport with her.  We returned to the hotel to get her passport.  Good thing we are still near from the hotel.

Real, Quezon: Seafood, Beach and the Locals

Last weekend, bes J took us to Real for a seafood trip.  She has been bragging about how fresh and affordable the seafood here so I have to experience it myself.

Real in Quezon province is a first class municipality situated fronting the Philippine Sea.  It's the seafood capital for Laguna and nearby municipalities.

the beach
From Sta. Maria, where we stayed for the weekend, it's only about 1.5 hrs. drive.  You have to pass by zigzag roads but with very beautiful mountain views.

Hotel Kimberly, Tagaytay

the façade
I have been seeing this hotel in one of Metrodeal's promos and been meaning to purchase the voucher but always find it expensive... hehehe...  I'm so glad when I learned that our Division's planning session will be held here.  I can have the experience for free.

It's a deluxe hotel situated far off from the main road, in a quiet and cool location.  It's interiors is Filipino/Asian theme.

The planning session is for a two day event and first day was solely intended for the planning session and 2nd day is free day so we can just explore and enjoy the venue.  Unfortunately, we haven't thought of hiring a vehicle to roam around Tagaytay (aside from being lazy, we are no longer first timers in Tagaytay so no one is keen on touring around).

just a small and secluded hotel
