SG Day 2: Fullerton and City Hall

Our bonding with K didn't end there.  She accompanied us in going to Fullerton to see the original and famous Merlion statue. Well, you didn't visit SG if you have not been to this famous landmark.  It was jam packed with people trying to have a picture with different tactics and poses.  It's that famous! Fortunately, there are some open space to picture it with less people around.

SG Day 2: Marche' Vivo City Mall

looking at its exteriors, it doesn't look like a restaurant
After spending half day in Sentosa Island, we went back to Vivo City Mall to meet my old pal and college classmate K.  We met in Food Republic then she took us to Marche'.

SG: Day 2 - Sentosa (Waterfront, Imbiah and Beach Stations)

the famous Sentosa landmark
Day 2, August 25, 2014

It's highly recommended to ride a bus (A80) from our hotel going to Vivo City Mall, the gateway to Sentosa Island where the monorail station is housed. The fare is cheaper and you will have time to see the streets of Singapore.  Just sit at the 2nd floor of the double decker bus.  I have fun seeing the old Portuguese houses in Bugis area.

SG: Day 1 - Geylang, Orchard Road, City Hall and Marina Bay Sands

just about to land in this small but progressive country

Day 1 - August 24, 2014

Our flight is at 4AM so hubby and I went there early, anticipating the long queue in the immigration check-in. Fortunately, checking-in was a breeze.  We have a lot of time for breakfaast and window shopping.  I even slept for two hours before boarding.

waiting for boarding
I was awaken by bes J's call.  Unfortunately, she (the one who booked for us) was left behind due to less than a six month Passport validity period.  Haist!  almost 8 months ang preparation, passport pa ang di nasilip! Since it's a holiday on Monday, she was only able to process extension of her passport the next day.  With the help of her sister (for the plane ticket), it's a blessing that she was able to join us on our last day.

Amazing Singapura

Ask any traveler on what countries are on his bucket list, I'm sure that Singapore is one of them.  Who wouldn't want to travel in a tiny but developed country that has so much to offer?  Thanks to airline promo tickets, it's now possible to visit this country even with a meager budget.

SG is on my bucket list but not on my immediate travel plans.  Thanks to my Bes J, who is very eager to see it.  So exactly on Christmas Day of 2013, she checked CP's holiday offers.  She booked for herself and then asked persuaded me to join her.  Since, she'll handle the payment first, how can I say no?  Thus, we are booked for August and right there and then, my task has begun - preparing for the itinerary and learning how to go around SG.  Ang babait nila!

A Birthday Celebration in Oakwood Premier, Ortigas

Our dearest eldest daughter has officially turned into a young lady last January 25.  If you're a parent like me, you'll understand how stressful it is to have a debutante (financially, emotionally and physically!).  It really took me a long time to plan and prepare for her birthday.  As any parent's wish, I wanted it to be memorable and special.

where did all the time go????
I'm thankful that my daughter didn't request for a grand celebration.  She agreed that it will be just a simple celebration since she understood that her dental braces is our priority and will cost quite a hefty amount.  She even expected that we will just dine out.  But I can't just accept to make it too simple for her.  She will be 18 only once anyway.

Hello 2015... Thanks 2014

Another year has passed...  I'm still soooo delayed with my travel posts and it's February already!!!  Obviously, it will be a busy year (for me)...

2014 travels
Surprisingly, this is the year that I have no written resolutions and any plans.  I am so damn lazy in thinking about the future.  It's so really not me.  Maybe due to all the uncertainties in the office lately, I just want to wait what will happen next and not worry too much about it.  I lift all my worries to the Above.
