SG Day 2: Marche' Vivo City Mall

looking at its exteriors, it doesn't look like a restaurant
After spending half day in Sentosa Island, we went back to Vivo City Mall to meet my old pal and college classmate K.  We met in Food Republic then she took us to Marche'.

Marche' is located in Harbour Front Walk, 2/F of Vivo City Mall.  It offers distinctive European cuisine in an authentic Swiss backdrop.

Its concept is very similar to "Ayala Street Life" (which was famous in Makati during the 90s but already closed).  It's a small place with different restaurants catering different European cuisines.  At the entrance, you will be given an atm type card.  This card will be used for ordering foods. So, you can order from different restaurants using a single card.  You will then pay the total amount upon checking-out.

Hubby and I checked all the foods being offered first and we are quite overwhelmed on what to order.  You can be guaranteed that the food being served is fresh since you will be the one to choose the ingredients and they will cook it for you only upon ordering.  Everything looks delectable so it's really hard to decide.  I was actually glued at the dessert station.

After a few minutes of drooling over this display of foods, we have decided to order a steak, K's recommended Swiss potato rosti and the best seller apple pie.  K has ordered pasta.  Dishes here cost from S$7-$70 depending of course on your choice.  But I think, this is still in the "affordable" list.

K is so generous in treating us for a special lunch though I'm insisting on treating her. Oh dear K! seeing you again after so many years is the most memorable part of this trip.
