Subic Homes - more than a home away from home

For our second windangan family Subic outing, we still chose Subic Homesas our temporary home.  We're so glad to see that the villas were renovated and with a new LED TV.

Why do we love thee?  Let me count the ways:
1. Affordable villa with spacious and funtional rooms and centralized air conditioning.  We rented the 4/5 bedroom villa.  This is with one master bedroom (with bathroom), one twin bedroom, two matrimonial rooms and one room downstairs for the maid or driver (with bathroom).  There is a bathroom (with bath tub) upstairs and a powder room downstairs.

This villa costs only Php 9,025.00 per night during weekends; 30% off during weekdays and 50% off during off peak season.  They also offer villas with 3/4 bedrooms for Php7,050 per night.

2. A kitchen with complete utensils and equipment - with new ref, electric oven, rice cooker, utensils and microwave oven.  How cool is that?  This is so great for a family on a budget.

3. The dining table and living room. The dining table is good for 8 persons and the living room has a new LED TV.  We mostly spent our time here - eating, bonding, drinking, singing, playing virtual games and just plain bonding.

4.  The porch with griller and table and chairs.  Our backyard is already a forest so even outside, the area is still quite cool.  The big boys always stayed here during drinking sessions since they can only smoke outside.

5. The shoe rack/cabinet.  This is the only home I saw with this kind of cabinet.  The shoes are neatly stored.
there is a lot of room for shoes

6. The cute swimming pool.  The kidney shaped pool is just a few steps from our villa.  No extra entrance fee for this pool.  The kids enjoyed this much as well.

7. Parking area.  Since our group consisted of five families, that is equivalent to five cars.  Good thing there is an available parking space for each car.  The garage of the villa can accomodate at least two cars.

too many cars
8.  Jogging Area.  There is a provided jogging or walking pathway inside the village.  With trees all around the area, it will so refreshing to jog or walk here.

9. Great area for biking (since it is a village on a hill).  You can also rent mountain bikes here but I doubt if you will like the Php 10,000.00 security deposit per bike.

@150 per hour...can be taken anywhere you want

10.  The backyard zoo.  Before we check-out of the villa, we had some visitors - a family of monkeys.  We didn't notice that we have a mango tree at our backyard where the monkeys get their food. We are all excited to see the monkeys since we were able to see one along the way.

11.  The park and basketball court.  The village has a park with a playground (slides, see saw, etc.) for young kids.  Our young lads had a basketball match with their daddies in the basketball court.

12.  Location.  The village is near the duty free shops, the adventure areas and beaches.  There is a lot of activities that can be done and enjoyed in Subic.

13.  The villa can accomodate a large number of people.  We are all 20 in this villa and we still managed to sleep and do our own thing comfortably. Ooops, don't tell them that since this villa is intended for eight persons only. Still, it is really a great place for bonding with friends or family.

The down side????   There is no wi-fi or any provided broadband service inside the villa.  You have to rely on your own account.  However, if you don't have one and badly needed to check the net, you can go at the reception area.

wi-fi for free but you have to endure the heat

As long as they are maintaining this village and the villas very well, this will always be my number 1 option when in Subic.
