Strawberry Picking in La Trinidad

Our last day in Baguio was the highlight of the trip.

fresh and sweet strawberries....
We went to La Trinidad, Benguet for strawberry picking.  This is the reason why the kids wanted to go to Baguio.

Strawberries being sold here are at P120.00/kilo but if you want to pick them on your own, they are at Php350.00/kilo.

We enjoyed this activity so much.  If not thinking of the amount that we will pay, we might end up picking more than ten kilos of this fruit.  You can even eat while picking which will not be included in the charge.  At first my kids were apprehensive in eating while picking but tried it also later on and they had so much fun.

We also tried the dirty ice cream here - consisting of real strawberries, not just flavored ones.  The taste is not so spectacular but it's worth more than its price of 20 pesos.

We passed by Kennon Road in going back to Manila.  It was our first time to pass here.  Though the road is quite dangerous, the scenery is simply breath taking.  The air is so fresh and cold.

We have a stop-over at the famous Lion Statue.  I was amazed to know that it was carved from a whole huge stone.

Next time we visit Baguio, we should stay in a nice hotel with lots of pine trees surrounding it.  I think this is the only remaining best thing to do in Baguio - to just relax and enjoy the cold weather with amazing scenery outside of the hotel's window.

Not to forget as well is to check the other reputable dining places - Batirol House, Cafe by the Ruins, etc.  We also need to go to Tam-awan Village to check Baguio arts.  Maybe that time, the kids are more cooperative in walking and appreciating artworks.  Definitely, I will again visit my friend - Romy and his family.  I'm so fortunate to meet his family.

This was another great bonding moments for our half dozen family.
