Coron: Its beautiful lakes, islands, lime stones and beaches...

Amazing Coron!!!!
Coron is unique because of its lakes, islands, unique rock formations and powdered white beaches.  There will be no dull moment in here unless you opted to stay inside your room.

-Siete Picados-

Our boat tour started with Siete Picados.  From its name, there are seven rock islands in this area.  It is very near the town proper.  Since it is a marine sanctuary, we snorkeled and saw and feed a lot of fishes here.  However, the waves were too strong so it's quite hard to stay still so I immediately returned to the boat.

the town proper is at the back of this rock

 -Kayangan Lake-

Next stop is the most photographed lake in Coron - Kayangan Lake.  I thought that it is easy to be accessed but it's the other way around.  As they say, "No pain, no gain".

You have to climb up uneven steps then go down again to see this paradise.  Believe me, going down is no fun for the knees.  But upon reaching this lake, all tiredness will be worth it.

view from the top..before going down the lake..breath taking it is!
I can just stay here and watch this over and over again...

the grueling steps to endure before seeing paradise....

a huge centipede...my first time to see one like this..
the hidden paradise...blue waters run deep...this is realy deep...
The water is calm and great for swimming.  But you have to wear your vest to be safe.  The water is really deep.  I was unsuccessful in reaching the bottom.  Not much fishes here but a lot of lime stones.  It feels like being in a very far and remote lake. It's all peace and quiet here.

see how clean and calm the water is...

-Banol Beach-

Lunch was in Banol Beach.  It has a short shoreline with beige sand.  It was a private resort with few cottages for dining.  I love its rock formations and clean beach.  It's very refreshing swimming here.

Our sumptous lunch was prepared by Kuya Toto and his crew.  We were like Senyoritos and Senyoritas.  Everything was well taken care for us.  This was really a 'vacation'.

 After lunch, it's swimming time...

-Shipwreck Snorkel-

As an added bonus, they have included this in the package.  We were supposed to see a sunken ship but I had no luck in seeing it or maybe it is being covered by corals.  Again, a lot of fishes here.  It seems they knew that people mean food.  They are not scared of tourists anymore.

Coron is rich with thiese rock formations and clear blue waters...

-Twin Lagoon-

Another to look forward to in Coron is the Twin Lagoon. The name was derived from two lagoons being separated by these rocks.  During high tide, you have to swim below and pass by the small passage to reach the other lagoon.  You have the option also to use the stairs, but we preferred the first.  Again, water is deep.

there's a beautiful lagoon at the other side...
see how clear the water is???

TG! it's low tide so it's easier to go to the other side...

let's play hide and seek here!!!.

-Malcapuya Island-

Our 3rd day in Coron was spent only in this island since we cannot dock in Banana Island.  Our travel going to this is very scary.  The waves are really huge and in turmoil.  Everyone is silent while on the boat.  I was praying so hard.  I'm feeling so sick on this day.  But TG! we were able to go back to our hotel complete and safe.

Compared to Banol, this has a longer shore line and whiter sand.  There are cottages and a neat CR. Don't expect a shower room though!  Shower water is from the well so it smelled rust.  But this is just a tiny thing compared to how beautiful the place is.

getting nearer....

the back side for docking....

how can you not love this???

foreigners enjoying the beach...

i'm missing this...
TG! for this hammock...it somehow ease my illness....
There are some hammocks here where you can lie down and sleep.  There are also Buco juice for sale for Php 30.00.  What a great way to spend vacation!!!

-Underwater Fun-

Here are just some of the things you will enjoy during snorkeling.

lots of fishes...

Coron is definitely a place I will return to.  I pray that its people will protect and preserve it.  This is definitely a wealth unique with Filipinos.
