I've been in HK for a few times and it's only this time that I was able to visit one of the oldest famous tourist spots. HK is really a place of interests. I always lack time when visiting this vibrant and busy place.

Thus, even if we already dead tired from Ocean Park visit, I persisted in going here before getting back to our guest house. I bought the discounted tickets from our landlady which includes the Peak Tram ride.
From OP, Admiralty MTR station, embark at Central Station. Then, it's a very looooong walk. It's like hiking actually.
I don't know what's with that day but it seems that all roads lead to the Victoria's Peak. The queue is really long. It's not so good for already beaten people like us.
The Peak Tram is the oldest mode of transportation here in HK. This is the only transportation in going up Victoria Peak to reach the wax museum.
There is a gallery at the entrance of the station. So while walking in the line, you will have a brief education of its history. Apparently, this tram has started operating in 1888. During WWII, it became a shelter for Japanese soldiers.

Finally, it's our turn for the Peak Tram. You'll be tilted by almost 27 degrees slope in going up to the peak. It's another experience for us so we have enjoyed this ride.
Then you will reach a mall. Inside the mall is the wax museum. Just present the ticket and off you go.
MT Wax museum was opened in 2000 and features almost 100 famous personalities and local celebrities.

Let's now take a peek of the famous people. The figures really looked so real!!! I got goose bumps while looking at them. Can you name them all?

At the end of the tour is a wax figure of Madame Tussauds. She's short for her Nationality but with a great brain to discover this kind of art. The details in each figure is simply stunning.

There is also an information corner where they explain the process of creating a wax figure. It shows how these are meticulously being made - from choosing the right color of the eyes to the clothes they will wear. In short, it's not an easy process.
Before exiting the Museum, you need to pass by the souvenir shop. There are lots of interesting pieces that can be brought home but I find the prices a bit high so I just chose a few items including refrigerator magnets of course.

After having dinner in Burger King, we found a good spot where we can have a look of the city skyline. I'm so dumb not to check our tickets and only found out when we were already home that they included an entrance to the Sky Terrace where you can a great view of the HK skyline. Well, another lesson learned.
Every tiredness and body pain is worth this day.
