Bacolod 2015 Trip| Affordable Accomodations

happened on Sept. 18-21, 2015

For our four days stay in Negros, I booked our hotels through Agoda.  It's way cheaper to book in advance.  I booked for Go Hotel and GT Hotel.  We were supposed to stay a night in Mambukal so I have two hotels booked but when we were there, I had a change of plan and just had a day tour in Mambukal so I just extended our stay in Go Hotel.  I still  booked through Agoda for this extension because it is still cheaper to book online and I don't understand why.

arggg.. those telecom cables
Our first two nights were spent in Go Hotel for only P1,959.00 and a night in GT hotel for P1555.50, with complimentary breakfast for two.
Go Hotel is a chain of hotels owned by the Gokongweis so it's not a surprise to see these hotels built beside Robinson's Mall.  I always look for this hotel whenever I have a regional travel since their prices are affordable for comfortable accommodation.  In short, you get your money's worth.

excuse the mess hehehe

For a mid range hotel, it has most of the amenities you always require in a hotel and more - basic toiletries, hair dryer, hot and cold shower and a comfy bed.  I love love white sheets with super fluffy pillows.  The only downside is that they don't usually have restaurants within the hotel.  This hotel is also very accessible for commuting even if it's located far from the town center.

I'm quite surprise with GT Hotel.  I didn't expect much (from the pictures I saw in its website).  It's newly renovated so most of the amenities and furniture are new.  I love how big our room is and how soft our bed and pillows are.  The toilet and bath is also nice with a rain shower head.  The toiletries set are almost complete. The best part is the customer service they have.  The staff are so friendly and accommodating.  Here's a glimpse of this hotel:

We had a buffet breakfast on our last day here.  It only offers a limited selection of food but enough to satisfy any Filipino tummy.

The only downside of this hotel is that they don't have a pool.  It could have been a nice venue for staycation.  Another best part though is that it is just a walking distance from SM Bacolod and the famous Manokan Country or just rent a tricykad when it's too hot to walk.  It is also a jeepney away from the Capitol.

just near the Cathedral is Bongbong's pasalubong house

yum yum yum
For your visit in Bacolod, you might want to try these hotels.

  1. Thanks for the photos and covering Bacolod on your post. It is my dream to have a property at Bacolod, preferably a house and lot at Suntrust Bacolod.
