Cebu Series| Pasalubong Shopping and Total Expenses

Oh! yes I do
Being Pinoys, our travel is not complete without bringing some goodies or pasalubong going back home.  Cebu has a lot to offer when it comes to these.  Here are some goodies that I can't resist bringing back home:

1. Refrigerator Magnets - the most convenient souvenir of all.  I have been so many times in Cebu and still I buy one whenever I'm here.

Php35.00 each or 3 for Php100.00

 2. Baked goodies - who would not want Otap, barquillos, rosquillos, etc.?  I always bring lots of these as I love their cookies and biscuits.  One good tip:  buy these at Metro Gaisano Supermarket, inside Ayala Mall. They are cheaper here and will be packed in a box for you.  You can even use your credit card if you are already running out of cash.  I always prefer Conchings and Titay's over Shamrock.  I was told that the former brands are the original maker of Otaps.

these are great  on refrigerator cakes instead of graham crackers

3. Dried Mangoes and other fruit candies - so click with foreigners as well.  I always prefer 7D over other brands.  Their concentrated mango juice is also yummy.  You can even use this for your salad dressings.

these are Php100.00 for 6 packs... great idea for pasalubong to officemates
But for me, I never leave without buying Sampaloc candies.  They are way cheaper here and taste real.  Only Php 16.00 per pack.  I really buy lots of these.

a pack is finished in one sitting
4.  Dried fishes and squid - these are pasalubongs that every local tourist is buying.  Don't buy these in the mall as they are cheaper here in Tabaoan.  From our hotel, we just took a taxi in going here since commuting will take at least 3 rides.  The stores are neatly arranged now compared before.

Go here first thing in the morning and ensure to have enough time to return to your hotel to take a bath before your next stop since you will surely smell like dried fish after going here.

with spacious parking space infront of the stores

free breakfast.. we tasted them all

dried squid for Php600.00/kilo

special (not too salty) dried danggit for Php500.00/kilo

even dried galungong

too many choices

other delicacies are being offered here, too

5. Chorizo or longganisa - small and sweet like of Pampanga's but with distinctive taste.

@Php180.00/kilo
6. Lechon - if you missed buying in downtown, you can still buy inside the airport but only Zubuchon is available here.

So when you are booking for a plane ticket, be sure to have enough allowance for your luggage, at least 30Kgs. for all your pasalubongs.

Here is my total expenses for a weekend trip here in Cebu, without the pasalubong cost:
